Bring the café to your home with these sensational cakes. Each box contains a sachet of rich caramel. The cake premix contains almond meal which enhances the texture. Make 12 muffin or 40 mini-muffin sized portions. Freeze and keep for later. Just add eggs and butter. Serve with cream or heat and serve with ice-cream.

Grease muffin tins well to avoid sticking.

Add the ingredients in order specified to ensure success.

Check your cooking time as 12 mins may be enough for lovely moist Caramel Cakes.

The caramel may be easier to remove from the sachet if you place the sachet in warm water for a few minutes before opening.

Freeze the Sweet Caramel Cakes for later.

 

Creative variations

Insert small chunks of gluten free caramel fudge into the centres of the cakes before cooking for extra indulgence.

Use a 20cm square tin and cook for 20-25 mins to create a cake that can be cut into small pieces for lunchboxes or mini treats.
